 | Valentina Pilia, originally from Rome, Italy, studied interior design in Paris before embarking on a three year break to Marrakech, Morocco. Here, Valentina gained years of experience working on construction sites with Moroccan craftsmen. Now, back in Paris, Valentina has taken this precious knowledge and experience with her - collaborating with different architect studios, styling for numerous magazines and researching unique and different materials, textiles and objects.
Cassandra Karinsky, from Sydney, Australia arrived in Marrakech after several years of living abroad in NYC & Chicago where she worked as a restaurant consultant. Marrakech opened up new doors for Cassandra – designing her own kaftan range with another Australian plus writing and styling for Elle Décor Group and Maison Francaise. Her love of design and interiors flourished in Marrakech with the effortless and pure designs used in everyday Moroccan life. |
Valentina and Cassandra met whilst living in Marrakech – a friendship which was brought together by their shared love and appreciation for the simple pleasures in life - illustrated through design and special objects. It is a love for ‘human’ interiors - fresh but lived in, simple but delicate.
